The 2018 GP3 Series calendar will consist of nine rounds in total, one more than in 2017, and all rounds will be supporting the Formula One World Championship. New for next year will be Le Castellet in France, 1 of 7 rounds to be held in Europe, with the season closing with 2 flyaway events to complete the calendar, including new venue Sochi in Russia.

The ninth season of the Series will be led by 3 pre-season tests before opening in Barcelona, the location of the final pre-season test, in May ahead of the 1st new circuit to the calendar, Le Castellet in the south of France: the circuit will be the first race in a triple header followed by events in Spielberg and Silverstone, with a 2 week gap before the fifth round of the season at the Hungaroring ahead of the summer break.

The teams will regroup for another back to back series of rounds at the end of August, in Spa-Francorchamps and Monza, before closing out September in Sochi and the now traditional final event of the season at the Yas Marina Circuit on November 23-25.
